Okay this isn't finished lol, and it's not great, but its the first non-typical henna design that I've done on canvas...Do you know where it is?

Basic Henna Paste

This is my basic henna paste, only for use on skin..I wouldn't use this on canvas or on any wood products etc, and I'm not going to give away my formula for that...I'm slightly paranoid lol...
Put your henna powder into a glass bowl, or plastic if you haven't got glass, preferably with an airtight lid, but you can use clingfilm if necessary.
Add a good amount of sugar...the more sugar, the stickier and stringier the paste will be. Note - Moroccan henna doesn't need much sugar as it is naturally stringy, but if using Rajasthani or Pakistani henna you'll need quite a bit.
Add lemon juice bit by bit until you can no longer see the green powder, and it is a smooth paste.
The paste will preferably be toothpaste like, and will be liquidy to the sight, but smooth and medium thick when mixing with a spoon. Add a few drops of essential oils, e.g. tea tree, to the paste and mix thoroughly.
If the paste falls slowly off of the spoon/spatula then it will be lovely and stringy when you use it inshallah. Cover the paste and leave in a warm - but not hot - place for 10-12 hours or until the very top turns a dark brown. Then mix the paste again, and put it into you cones/bottles/syringes etc...

Help me!

Okay this has absolutely nothing to do with henna...I just need some advice inshallah..
How do you deal with an evil boss? And I don't mean makes you do all their work and takes credit for it evil..although that does happen..I mean, says you've put on weight and look pregnant evil..even when you've lost 5POUNDS!!

Progression

Almost finished & Greenwich

I got around to doing the large version of this today, it's not completely finished, so don't hate it yet! Lol. Looks like I'm sticking to Greenwich market this week (Look out for LONDON HENNA), so if you're in the area drop by! There's another henna artist there who's just recently started doing canvases aswel =( stealing my business lol, nevermind, Inshallah mine are good enough to sell. Also doing henna on skin (women only of course) lol...

Bridal Henna and Canvases
It's so sad to say that I'm only able to offer bridal henna to those in London..although that does leave many many people I suppose lol. Prices start as low as £50 for bridal henna, and as little as £15/hour for events such as birthday parties and baby showers, etc..so tell your friends about the low low prices! (Pleasee lol saving for uni here inshallah!)
However, I can send canvases to the whole UK and to overseas to certain countries*!! Alhamdulillah. The sizes and prices of canvases are:

Small 5x5inch = £5
Medium 8x8inch = £12
Large 12x12inch = £18

a4 sized = £12

What I did today...
Salaams, Down at Greenwich market today I had a lovely young customer who wanted a specific design below. I think I might be going to Camden market next Friday inshallah, to see if its any better...
She even came back half an hour later to get it redone because she had smudged it and was soo upset. I did a few other designs, but most customers wanted really small designs, little hearts and stuff, not really worth photographing...
I also sold a view canvases:
One of my favs is gone =( lol, I'm glad to have sold it..
My friend was convinced this wouldn't sell lol, supportive?
I love this one, its gone far far away, I think the customer was American, although I can't remember lol, such a hazy day.
This is on a small 5x5inch canvas, and I've already been asked to adapt the design to a 12x12inch canvas, which is quite big lol, should be fun.

For the lovely neighbours
A custom made set of canvases for the lovely neighbours who have always looked after me =)
It reads, 'Jizakallahu Khair' ; En Anglais, 'May Allah reward you with goodness' and the varnish makes it shiny shiny =D
Picture was taken while the varnish was still a little wet, hence the white-ish patches.
Here's hoping they like it inshallah, hope you like it too x

The name of the blog says it all really, I'm a henna artist from London, I do free hand henna ANYWHERE, and I mean anywhere, so you'll be able to see my designs on canvases, bits of paper, walls ;) lol, okay maybe not, but I do sell henna art on lovely little canvases, and some lovely massive canvases which I will upload pics of soon.
Anyway, Im off to find some friends and maybe even some followers =)
